A wild horse is a peaceful, tamable animal. Taming such will produce a Stallion (male) or a Horse (female).
Hunting
If you skin a dead wild horse with a skinning knife with the Hunting skill you will get 1x Big hide, 33× Bones and 110× Game meat
Additional: Having the Hunting skill of 90 or more allows you to get animal alchemy ingredients.
Taming
Taming requires the Animal Lore skill level 60.
Horses only accept carrots and apples in taming attempts.
Try not to scare a skittish horse, it will just run away if you get too close! Wait for it to lay down in the grass, quickly run up to it and use Tame. This could take multiple attempts.
