The Stone tower is a part of strong, defensive structure that is stone wall. It's much higher and can be mounted from the inside, where a few narrow arrow-slits are located, or on the top of it, from where a view is much better and it proves to be even more effective defensive position for archers.
This tower is designed to extend outward from the stone wall to allow archers to shoot at attackers along the outside of your walls. There is also a Stone Inner Tower which is designed to extend inwards.
